Witch University

In Return to Halloween Town, Marnie Piper is 18 years old and is ready to go off to college. She chose Witch University or Witch U for short in Halloween Town, hence the name Return to Halloween Town. At first, Marnie kept her acceptance to Witch University from her mom because her mom wanted her to go to a regular community college and to a regular college.

Going to Witch University

Marnie Piper (played by Sara Paxton) accepted the scholarship and went off to Halloween Town. Dylan Piper, her brother also went with her. Dr. Luxana Goodwyn was the chancellor of Witch U. She has teamed up with the evil Silas Sinister and members of the Dominion  to take over Halloweentown using Marnie's power.

There was a prophecy that was to be fulfilled on Halloween night and they had to work hard to trick Marnie into giving away her magical, absolute powers.

Magic is not allowed at Witch U

At Witch U, Marnie thought she could finally use her magic as much as she likes. However, that was not the case, magic was forbidden at Witch U because there are other people, not just witches and warlocks, at Witch U who did not have magical powers. Nowadays, Witch U accepts monsters, mummies, genies such as Aneesa the Genie, as well as witches and warlocks. Yet, some people still get away with using magic such as the Sinister sisters. Basically, using magic is ok as long as you do not get caught.

Marnie was unaware that she was responsible for the change in Witch U when she opened the portal between the two worlds.
